Corpus Delicti
debuted on Saturday February 15th, 2003
with 25 performers on the street - joining over 100,000
protestors in Hollywood - for the largest Anti-War
march in LA history. Since then, Corpus Delicti has
performed at many locales in Los Angeles - with over
70 performers from various disciplines -
participating with the company.

Corpus Delicti moves with ease from the street to
galleries and theaters. Reflecting the diversity of
audiences that it attracts, the company has been
invited to perform at REDCAT, LACMA, UCLA,
18th Street Art Complex, Track 16 Gallery,
Sol Fest Human Rights Festival, BrickBox Theater,
and Highways Performance Space.

Corpus Delicti is the brain-child of Carla Melo and
Joe Talkington. Both veteran performance artists with
fine art/theater backgrounds. Members of the LA-based
butoh group, Somavox, they have years of local,
national & international performance experience.
